Mandy M. Davis and Elbert Watson were married in Wilkes county, North Carolina, February 11, 1851 by Rev. A. Lipford. She and Eb had one other child, Jake born abt 1870 but no record has been found except for one census record.
Matilda doesn't have a headstone at the cemetery. All that marks her grave is a stone carved with the initials M.A. Watson with the death date. This is in the base of a huge tree & was barely visible last time I was there.
She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in the Watson community (now Hebbertsburg) her death date is found in their church records.
