Donald L. Hunt, 69, passed away the morning of May 12, 2009, at Grove Manor in Grove City. Born in New Castle, on November 19, 1939, he was a son of the late R. Harold and Mary Lucille Eppinger Hunt.
He married the former Marilyn Heckathorne on July 5, 1958.
He retired as supervisor of transportation at the Laurel School District where he was employed. In earlier years, he had worked at the former Shenango China. He enjoyed yard work, fishing, woodworking, driving the bus and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Marilyn; a daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Marty Fabian of New Castle, a son; Ronald Hunt; two brothers; Richard Hunt and Charles Hunt, both of New Castle; one sister, Jane McAnany of New Castle; and two grandchildren; Jenna Fabian and Brandon Fabian. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Glenn R. Hunt, and an infant brother, Larry Hunt.
Services were held Wednesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. The Rev.
