Morgan Andrew Deaton, 17, of Friendswood, Texas left us to continue his journey on Tuesday, February 10, 2009. He was a tall, handsome, bright young man who was wise beyond his years. While usually craving solitude, he would easily blend with friends and his extensive family with his quick-witted sense of humor. He loved to spend time chatting on the computer & listening to his favorite music on his I-Pod. He loved Japanese anime and many of the animated shows on television today. He had shown an interest in reading and learning about philosophy and psychology, and had indicated he might pursue a career as a psychologist once finishing high school. He loved his dog, Zeda, and his cat, Josie, and seemed to receive a great deal of comfort from their presence. He was dearly loved by everyone who came into contact with him and will never be forgotten. Morgan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Nelson "Joe" Savoy II. Those left to cherish his memory are his father Benjamin, step-mother Melissa, sisters Addison & Chaney; his mother, Heather Savoy Pitre and brother Peyton Landon; grandparents Rex & Kathy Deaton, Hillene Deaton, Gayle Moore, Kristi Savoy Lemmons, Suzzanne Richard; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family and friends in two states that count themselves fortunate to have known him. The visitation will be held Sunday February 15, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Consolata Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Langford officiating.
