William Clair Fox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Fox, of West Freedom, was accidentally killed November 1, 1930, while working with his father on a drilling well near Catfish. He was aged 21 years, 1 month and 9 days.
He is survived by his parents, six sisters, Nellie, Leoma, Rissa, Belle, Lillian, Violet and two brothers, Willis and Robert, Jr., all at home; also his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W.S. Fox; his great-grandmother, Mrs. G. W. Whippo, and many other relatives and friends who are left to mourn his untimely death.
Clair was a member of the M.E. church of West FReedom, a young man of sterling quality. His place will not be easily filled in the home and in the community. Funeral services were held in the M. E. Church Tuesday afternoon, November 4, Rev. Allsion, assisted by Rev. Gibson, officiating. Interment was made in the West Freedom cemetery.
A precious one from us is gone
A Voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
CARD OF THANKS
We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for their help and sympathy, flowers and use of cars at the time of our great bereavement. We also wish to thank Rev. Allsion, Rev. Gibson and those who sang.
