He was a retired ginner from Dixie Gin and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Poe was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1962-68.
Bruce's favorite thing was spending time with his family and hunting. He was a member of the Trumann Masonic Lodge and had an associate's degree from Arkansas State University in Marked Tree.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Thurman Poe, one sister, Iola King, and his parents, Fred and Beulah Wallace Poe.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Emma Lance Poe of the home; two sons, William (Teresa) Poe of Little Rock and Billy (Mary Beth) of Trumann; three grandchildren, Hunter Poe, Alexis Poe and Luke Anderson; and one great-granddaughter, Cecelia Poe.
