Mr. Klemmer was born October 19, 1871, on a farm in St. Clair township. He was formerly employed by the city, and prior to his retirement worked at the Diamond Crystal-Colonial Salt Company.
Surviving is his wife Gertrude, a son Melvin of St. Clair; three brothers Simon, Louis and Hugh, and a sister Mrs. Mary Westrick, all of St. Clair. There are also 4 grandchildren.
Fr. Edward Kromenaker conducted the funeral services which were held in St. Mary's Catholic Church Wednesday morning. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
