He was born May 15, 1934, at Hutchinson, the son of Dillard S. and Velma M. Greenfield McCoy. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a former employee of the Reno County Fire Department and the South Hutchinson Police Department, and was an employee of C N Escrow.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include: a son, E. J. Priester, Midwest City, Okla.; a daughter, Jackie D. McCoy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
Memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Turon Cemetery, with the Rev. Eldon R. Smith presiding. There will be no visitation.
Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
