On Thursday afternoon, June 26, C.T. Bybee died after a lingering illness. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. David B. Hill at the First Baptist Church on Friday at 4 o'clock, after which the remains were buried in the Childress Cemetery.
Mr. Bybee had been a resident of Childress some ten years, and in that time had been engaged in several kinds of business. About eighteen months ago his health began to fail. He visited Mineral Wells in the Spring, and on his return was seemingly much improved. The last illness was of about a month's duration. Besides a wife and several children, he leaves a brother, Mr. Mc. D. Bybee in Childress, and other relatives in Summershade, Kentucky, to mourn his death.
