Mrs. Cook, 84, Passed Away
Estella Deselee Cook of 1601 S. 23rd Street, Centerville passed away Friday, April 27 at 6:30 p. m. at the Golden Age Nursing Home at the age of 84 years, three months and 20 days. She was born in Appanoose County, Iowa January 7, 1878 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller. She was married to William Fox, who preceded her in death in 1916, she later married Elmer Cook in May 1928 and he preceded her in death in 1946.
Surviving are five children, C. F. Fox of Centerville, James Fox of Bettendorf, Mrs. Sherman Tharp of Bettendorf, Mrs. Frank Eddy of Centerville, Mrs. Gayle Hackathorn of Centerville, 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two children, Orra and Blanche Fox.
She was a long time member of the Drake Ave. Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 29 at 3:30 p. m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. G. L. LaForege officiating. Burial was made in the Numa Cemetery
