Agda Serafia Bergstrom was born in Sweden the daughter of Johannes Jonsson and Louise Larsdotter. Whe came to america in 1885 at the age of 19. She was married to Andrew Johnson 8 Oct 1887 in Keokuk, IA.
There were twelve children born to this union: Emma Beaty, Ella Carlson, Nellie Moander, Carl Johnson, Arthur Herbert Johnson, Albert Johnson, Herman Johnson, Louise Carlson, Elvira Beckett, Walter Johnson, Clifford Johnson and Oscar Johnson.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She is buried beside her husband in the Scandinavian Cemetery.

MRS. JOHNSON DIED IN HOSPITAL
Mrs. Agda Seraphia Johnson died this morning at 2:50 o'clock in a local hospital. She was born in Sweden, April 14, 1866, and came to America when a girl of eighteen. October 8, 1887, she was married to A. G. Johnson in Lee County, and they have made their home in this community since then, living in Montrose township.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband and the following children; Mrs. Howard Beaty of Argyle, MRs. Ella Carlson of Montrose, Carl of Keokuk, Albert of Griswold, Iowa, Herman of Keokuk, Mrs. Louise Carlson of Keokuk, Mrs. Robert Beckett of Argyle, Walter of Griswold and Clifford and Oscar at home.
