Daughter of Andrew Johnson & Agda Bergstrom. Married to Emma Charlotte Johnson.

Mrs. Emma C. Beaty, 74, died very suddenly at 8:15 Wednesday evening at her hoome on Route 2, near Sandusky. She had been in failing health several years.
The daughter of the late Andrew and Agda Bergstrom Johnson, she was born July 28, 1888 near Montrose and had lived all her life in Lee county.
On April 15, 1908, she was married to Howard L. Beaty in Keokuk, who survives. Mrs. Beaty was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran church.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Edna) Glasgow, R.R. 2, Keokuk; six sons, Robert and Andrew Beaty of Oakland, Iowa, Gilbert L. of Argyle, Everett J. and Roy M. of Keokuk, and Ernest A. Beaty of Carson, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Louise Carlson of Keokuk; three brothers, Albert Johnson of Griswold, Iowa; Clifford Johnson of Council Bluffs and Oscar Johnson of Argyle; 13 grand children and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by a son, Virgil Beaty, on August 6, 1948; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Carlson, Mrs. Elvira Beckett and Mrs. Nellie Moander and four brothers, Carl, Herman, Walter and Arthur Johnson.
Service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Schmidt Memorial Home with the Rev. Oren Baker officiating. Interment will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery.
