Margaret Strain Seebert was the daughter of Calbert Trent Seebert and Martha Maria Strain.

On the 21 Jun 1900 Kerrs Creek, Rockbridge Co. VA census, I found farmer Calbert T Seebert, 38, Jan 1862; wife of 9 years, Martha Seebert, 32, Jan 1868, had 4 children, all living; sons or daughters: Joseph E Seebert, 8, Nov 1891; Mary Mck Seebert, 6, Aug 1893; Walter D Seebert, 4, Mar 1896 and Margaret S Seebert, 1, Oct 1898, all VA born. Calbert's parents were both born in WV and Martha's in VA.

On the 1910 Kerrs Creek, Rockbridge Co. VA census, I found farmer Trent C Seibert (sic), 48; wife of 20 years Martha M Seibert, 42; sons or daughters: Joe E Seibert, 18; Mary M Seibert, 15; Walter D Seibert, 14; Margarete S Seibert, 12 and Martha Seibert, 5, all VA born.

On the 1920 Kerrs Creek, Rockbridge Co. VA census, I found stock farm farmer Trent C Seebert (Ancestry indexes Subert), 57; wife Martha M, 51; son or daughters: Mary, 24; Walter D, 23; Margret S, 21 and Martha, 14, all VA born. They lived on Whistle Creek Rd.

1950: Walter D and Margaret S Seebert qualified under will of C. T. Seebert, deceased, as co-executors. Estate valued at $52,842.89. Per the Lexington Gazette, Vol 150, #37, dated 13 Sep 1950.

1952: Walter D Seebert and wife to Margaret S Seebert, etc. undivided interest in 104.29 acres more or less, 1 miles west of Lexinfton (sic). Lexington Gazette, Vol 152, #13, dated 26 Mar 1952.

1952: Lost and Found. Found-Yearling heifer strayed to our place n Route 60. Owner please contact me. Margaret S Seebert, phone 9-F-2. 10. Per the Rockbridge County News, Vol 68, #43, dated 31 Jul 1952.

SEEBERT, Margaret Strain 100, of Lexington, died Friday, September 24, 1999 at the Mayflower of Lexington. Born October 29, 1898 in Rockridge County. She was the daughter of the late Calbert Trent and Martha Strain Seebert. She was a life long farmer and homemaker and a member of the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two nieces, Alice Seebert Godwin, Bluefield, W. Va. and Martha Boyden Stuart, Lexington; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews; and a number of great-great- nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 1999 at the graveside at New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Martin Stokes officiating. There will be no visitation. Harrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Her obituary appeared in the 25 Sep 1999 issue of the Roanoke Times (VA).
