Carolyn J. Tennant
Carolyn Jo (Beatty) Tennant, 59, of Withee, Wis., died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wis.
Born April 4, 1950, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Garnett and Anna Ruth (Hart) Beatty Sr. She married Kenneth Edward Tennant on Oct. 2, 1982, and he survives.
Other survivors include her daughters, Joy Huffmeyer of Shelbyville and Jill Warner of Janesville, Wis.; brother, Jerry Beatty of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Shawn Tlusty, Cody Riley, Ashley Riley, Paul Tlusty and Jordan Warner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Garnett Beatty Jr.; and sister, Barbara Knott.
Mrs. Tennant resided in Shelbyville until moving to Wisconsin in 1982.
She was a secretary for Edjoten Trucking, which she and her husband owned.
Mrs. Tennant graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1968.
She was a member of First Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
