Benton Allison Wensel was a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Wensel and was born in Piney Twp., Clarion Co. Sept. 4, 1859, but had lived for 38 years in Clarion Twp.
He was united in marriage with Miss Ganoe, who preceded him in death 34 years ago.
He is survived by a son Austin at home and one daughter, Mrs. Alice Gray of McDonald Pa. His mother Mrs. S. S. Wensel of Sligo also survives with the following sisters and brothers, W. T. Wensel of Clarion, M. L. of Oil City, S. m. of Licking Twp., J. B. of Rimersburg, H. W. of Sligo, Mrs. J. B. Henry of Sligo, Mrs. J. E. Bashline of Monroe Twp., and Mrs. Frank Jones, Brockwayville.
The deceased was an industrious hard working man, and at the time of his death was an employee of Harvey Coal Co. and had the confidence of his employers and the esteem of his fellow workers.
His funeral was held Sunday afternoon, the services conducted at the home of his brother William T. Wensel of Clarion by the Rev. H. G. Stuempfle, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church and interment was made in the Clarion Cemetery.
