GOODMAN, Mo. — The Rev. Frank Moon, 98, of Goodman died May 10, 2009, in Goodman. He was born April 23, 1911, in Simpsonville, Texas, to John Daniel and Lillie Mae Odum Moon.

He worked for the CCC camps and for the city of Fort Worth and Thorton Steele Co. He also was a Pentecostal preacher and evangelist for most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Pearlee Bilderback Moon; two sons, John Daniel and Luther Daniel Moon; a daughter, Rila Jean Moon White; two grandsons; a great-grandson.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Moon and wife Judy of Rogers, Frankie Moon and wife Brenda of Lowell, and Carl Moon of Forum; four daughters, Lavada Hixson and husband David of Prairie Grove, Linda Gilcrease of Goodman, Joyce White and husband Paul of Forum, and Betty Farmer and husband Joe of Moody, Texas; two brothers, Clifford Moon of Claremore, Okla., and Paul Moon of Gilmore, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westfield Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. David Gilmer and the Rev. Duane Barnett officiating.

Burial will be in Burkshed Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, online at www.westfieldchapel.com.
