Roberta R. Pebworth, 79, passed from this life on May 11, 2009 with her family at her side. She was born December 16, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK to Dixie and Alice (Farris) Woodard. Roberta loved dancing to country music and league bowling. Her animal friends held a special place in her heart, and she would spend her time watching the Discovery Channel. She had several dogs that she spoiled over the years. She was a collector of Indian art and roadrunners. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents her son, Donald Joe Pebworth and brothers, Levi Woodard, Frank Woodard and Earl Woodard. She is survived by her husband of almost 51 years, Joe Pebworth sons, Kenneth Clawson, Johnny Clawson and his wife, Cheryl, and Dixie Pebworth and his wife, Ann daughters, Sandra Little and her husband, Jerry, and Victoria Manly brother, J.W. Woodard and his wife, Doris 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and her precious Chihuahua, Snickers. Roberta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who love her. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home chapel, with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
