The son of the late Alfred F. and Madeline Lulu Euker Kurza, he was born December 13, 1921, in New York City. He was the widower of Mildred M. Kursa. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a talented craftsman. Mr. Kursa built and repaired clocks and was known as "the clockman." He is survived by a daughter, Linda Curtis of Sacramento, Calif. two sisters, Marjorie M. Figgis of Honolulu, Hawaii and Paula A. Schamber and her husband, David, of Fairlawn, N.J; a brother, Donald W. Kurza and his wife, Catherine, of Bergenfield, N.J.; two grandchildren, Peter B. Curtis of Sacramento, Calif., and Matthew B. Curtis of Santa Clara, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Marie Sandrom.
Private funeral services were followed by burial in the Bon Air Cemetery in Roscoe. Funeral arrangements were made by the Harris Funeral Home in Roscoe.
