Mrs.Agnes Ruth Brown,81 0f 917 Glencoe Ave. died at 1:56 Wednesday afternoon in Waynesboro Community Hospital.

She was born May 22,1904 in Augusta County,Va, a daughter of the late Samuel R. Brown and Fannie McDaniel Brown.

Mrs. Madison was a member of Central Baptist Church and was retired from Morton Frozen Foods in Crozet.

Survivors include her husband, James O. Madison, to who she would have been married to for 61 years on Feb 27,two sons,Delmar L. Madison of Martinsburg,W.Va. and " Robert "Orsby" Madison of Waynesboro,one daughter, Frances Mae Madison Moore ,one sister Mrs. Elsie Dudley of Waynesboro,one brother Earl H. Brown of Crimora,13 grandchildren,18 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers,Walter Brown,Harvey Brown,Willard Brown,and Reginald Brown, and one son James S. Madison.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Central Baptist Church by the Rev Vernon R. Berry and the Rev. Fields Hall.Burial will be in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Lee Fisher,Wilmer Roadcap,James Parker,Charlie Brown,Roger Brown and Ricky Bryant.Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Bryant,Kenneth Ray Bradley Sr,Kenneth Ray Bradley Jr,Ralph Brown,Ronnie Brogan, and Billy Strickler.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home and at other times in the residence.Memorial contributions may be made to Waynesboro First Aid Crew.
