George H. Allmon, 73, of 1061 Claybourne Ave., East Liverpool, died today, May 20, 1988 in Steubenville following an illness of several years. He was born at Parkerburg, W.Va., July 16, 1914. Mr. Allmon had resided in the Salineville area many years before moving to East Liverpool several years ago. A retired machine operator at the Paxson Machine Co. in Salem, he was a member of the United Methodist Church and Alfred Wedgewood Post 374. He had served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mildred F. Allmon, at home, two sons, James Allmon of East Liverpool and John Allmon of Victorville, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Pounds of San Dimos, Calif., Mrs. Bernice Hirsekorn and Mrs. Kathy Accardo of Victorville, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
