Mrs. Elizabeth Janzen
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Mennonite Church, Munich, for Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Janzen, 80, Munich. Rev. Douglas Hornok will officiate at the service. Interment will be at South Salem Cemetery, near Munich.
Mrs. Janzen died Tuesday evening at Towner County Memorial Hospital, Cando.
Visitation at Gilbertson Funeral Home will be from 7 to 9 tonight, all day Friday, and at the church prior to services on Saturday.
Elizabeth Fast was born June 19, 1901 near Munich to Martin and Marie Unruh Fast. She received her education in Henderson Township Schools and on April 5, 1925 married Henry Janzen at Munich.
The couple farmed near Munich until they retired in 1970. They moved into Munich in 1974. Mr. Janzen died Nov. 4, 1977. She had been a resident of Rest Haven Manor, Cando for the past three years.
Surviving are three sons, Arnold, Huron, S.D.; Orlando, Enid, Okla.; Orval, Denver, Col.; three daughters, Mrs. Sam (Alice) Dick, Munich; Mrs. Arnold (Leona) Heppner, Alsen; and Mrs. Dave (Betty) Unruh, Houston, Tex.; 29 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A brother, Henry Fast, Reedley, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Sawatzky, Calgary, Alberta, and Mrs. Charles (Marie) Unruh, Alsen, also survives.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Janzen was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three brothers, and a sister.
