CAMDEN - Funeral services for Phillip Stephen "Phil" Arledge, 45, of Camden, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Malvern Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Gregg Allen, the Reverend Warren Weeks and Buster Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2004, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Mr. Arledge died Saturday, February 21, 2004. Born in Camden, he was a son of John R. and Wilma Harris Arledge. Mr. Arledge was a timber buyer for D.J. Creed, Inc. He was a proud sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and an avid hunter and fisherman. For many years he organized the 4th of July Fireworks Display at Lake Wateree. He was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father are a sister, Vicki Robinson and her husband, Tommy, of Camden; a brother, Dennis G. Arledge and his wife, Lori, of Camden, four nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; and his faithful dog, Halsey.
