Mr. Arledge died Saturday, February 21, 2004. Born in Camden, he was a son of John R. and Wilma Harris Arledge. Mr. Arledge was a timber buyer for D.J. Creed, Inc. He was a proud sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and an avid hunter and fisherman. For many years he organized the 4th of July Fireworks Display at Lake Wateree. He was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father are a sister, Vicki Robinson and her husband, Tommy, of Camden; a brother, Dennis G. Arledge and his wife, Lori, of Camden, four nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; and his faithful dog, Halsey.
