Mrs. Vera M. Bigelow
Mrs. Vera M. Bigelow, 59, of 626 Pine Street, died in a LaCrosse hospital Wednesday evening, October 13. She was born in Watertown, South Dakota February 20, 1907.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Vera) E. Torrey of Dubuque, Iowa, four sons, Frank D. Watson in the Navy at Milton, Texas, Leonard Whittaker Watson of San Clara, California, Kenneth Watson in the Navy at Lancaster, California, and Carrol Watson of Woodward, Iowa, two brothers, Henry Freimark and Elmer Friemark both of LaCrosse, and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Sletten-McKee Funeral Home. Rev. Edwin Shepard will officiate and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
She was a member of VFW Auxiliary #508, Dubuque, Iowa, and Rebecca Lodge #25, Independence, Iowa.
