BILL BEN SKOBA of Houston passed away on May 8, 2009, at the age of 79. He was born in Bremond, Texas on December 3, 1929.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Margie Skoba and by his parents Mike and Pauline Skoba. Bill was a corporal in the US Army for 2 years. He won many awards and medals including the Korean Service medal, CIBAD award, UN Service medal, and a Bronze Service Star. He was honorably discharged from the US Army on August 1, 1952. He worked for Jax Beer Company for 38 years until he retired in 1986. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #803.

Survivors include his daughters, Karen Skoba; Debra Skoba-Adams her husband Ron and their two children, Denise and Aron; Linda McCreary and family; brother, Leon Skoba; sister, Helen James; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to again, extend special thanks to his caregiver, Carmela Limas. Karen, Debra, Ron, Denise, and Aron will greatly miss mom and pawpaw. They will always be in our hearts. God has joined them together in Heaven. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 12, at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway. A Rosary Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 pm, with Deacon Lee Tollett officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, at St. Catherine of Siena, 10688 Shadow Wood Drive. Rev. Michael J. Carmody, Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael James, Ronald Adams, Jimmy James, Aron Adams, Isidro Cruz, and Raul Cruz.
