"CLARK CHILD TO BE BURIED IN ALTON
Elma Laveda Clark, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Elmo Clark of Davis Street, died in City Hospital, St. Louis, Monday after an illness of ten days. The little girl was the only daughter of her parents. Recently she had submitted to an operation for removal of her tonsils, complications followed, and for several days prior to death she was in grave condition. Funeral services have been set for Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Edwards Street Pentecostal Church to Oakwood Cemetery. The body was brought from St. Louis late yesterday to the Streeper Funeral Home and will be moved to the family residence at 10 A.M. Wednesday.

Elma's mother was Elmo's first wife Thelma "Viola" Fuller. Elma was my half-sister, but I never knew her.
