Aroma E. Hess, 84, entered into rest May 8, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of the late K. Paul Hess.
Born November 2, 1924, in Shrewsbury, Mrs. Hess was the daughter of the late Daniel T. and Beulah May (Klinefelter) Erhart.
She retired from Southern Diecasters in 1989 and previously worked as a machine operator with Liberty Machine and New Bolt Tool both in York. Mrs. Hess was a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, a life member of Christ Lutheran Church, and was a Den Mother for Cub Pack 90 in Shrewsbury for many years.
Surviving are five sons, Donald Hess of Stewartstown, Jerry Hess of Shrewsbury, Clarence "Sam" Hess of Snow Shoe, Pa., Dale Hess of Glen Rock, and Ricky Hess of Red Lion; and four daughters, Barbara Kowatch of Alta Loma, Calif., Marlene Hess of Harrisburg, Linda Hydro of Burgaw, N.C., and Alverta "Birdie" Striebig of New Freedom. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Hess, and a grandson, Shawn Hess.
Following cremation, interment will be at the convenience of the family.
