Funeral Services For Samuel R. [sic] Risner Held Sun.

Funeral services for Samuel A. Risner, 54, were held from the First Baptist Church here Sunday Oct. 13. Rev. Frank Ross assisted by Rev. M.B. Smith, Pampa, officiated.

Mr. Risner died Oct. 11 at his home in Wheeler. He had been in ill health the past 9 years. He was born Nov. 22, 1902 in Winsboro, Tenn. and was a farmer in this community since 1912 when he moved here from Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Allison and was married Jan. 1, 1929.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wilma Risner, Wheeler, two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Crow, Shattuck, Okla., Mrs. Billie Jo Dorman, Amarillo; three brothers, Jim and Hobe Risner, Wheeler, and Frank, Mobeetie; three sistes [sic], Annie Risner, Wheeler, Mrs. Sarah Helton, San Diego Calif., and Mrs. Belle Baxter, Ft. Worth, and four grandchildren. One son and two sisters preceded him in death.

Serving as pall bearers were Milton Liles, Floyd Pennington, Jim Magruder, Percey [sic] Farmer, W.L. Erwin, Albert Chapman.

Honorary pall bearers included E.E. Farmer, Archie Dillon, Geo. Pond, Dan Helfey [sic], Gaddy Vise and Ira Passons.
