Alice Loudora Webb married John Franklin Higgins. She was the daughter of Jesse Webb and Mary Redmon. She had a brother, Andrew Jack Webb who was married to a Josie Pittman. She was the mother of probably 11 children.

At one time the Higgins family lived at the top of Lookout Mountain.

Mrs. Alice L. Higgins, age 54, died at her home, 801 Cowart Street, at an early hour yesterday morning, after an illness of several days. The deceased was an active member of Whiteside Street Church. She has been a resident of South Chattanooga for a number of years. Surviving are four sons, Edward and Arnold, of this city, Harry of Mississippi, and Andrew, of Detroit; a brother, Jack Webb, of Whitwell; and a daughter, Bessie, of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held from the Whiteside Street Baptist Church tomorrow morning at 10:00 o'clock.
The Rev. W. M. Tidwell, assisted by the Rev. Triplett, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
