ABINGDON - Ronald C. Sorrells, 70, Abingdon, formerly of Bushnell, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday (May 8, 2009) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11 at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell. Visitation will be one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

ABINGDON-Ronald C. Sorrells, Abingdon, formerly of Bushnell, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born Nov. 19, 1938, in Avon, the son of Leonard and Josephine (McCance) Sorrells.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Todd (Michelle) Sorrells, Rock Island; two daughters, Tammy (Dan) Sinnett, Avon, and Trena (Mitchell) Khan, Ft. Madison, Iowa; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Duane (Millie) Sorrells, Macomb, and one sister, Margaret Worthington, Macomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He was an antique dealer and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved watching football and his grandchildren were the highlight of his life.
Services were held Monday, May 11, 2009, in Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell.
Burial was in the Prairie City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
