He made his career and his longtime life home in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. He was beloved for his generosity. Known so well for his gifted CPA skills, he earned the nickname "Iron Duke" as his clients' champion in IRS battles.
Left in this life are his children: Shelley (Scott) VanBibber, Susan (Jim) Wheeler, Sharon Guzzo, Steve Alexander, Janet (Mark) Thew and Karen (Bobby) Long; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; niece Dee Pritchett; nephew Damon Pritchett; uncle, Glenn "Moe" Pritchett; and many friends.
Bob's parents, Clyde Alexander and Pearl M. Alexander Hewitt, left this life before him, and he joins them on heaven-side.
Two life celebrations were held in Bob's honor: Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV, with reception at American Legion Post 8, 733 Veterans Memorial Drive, Las Vegas, NV was on May 18.
Perry Park, Colorado celebration was Sunday, May 24, at the entrance to Perry Park near Larkspur, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested Safe Nest women's shelter in Las Vegas, NV.
