C.J. Hall died at 63

Cume J. Hall, 63, lifetime Blackfoot and Idaho Falls resident and southeastern Idaho carpenter, died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a brief illness.

He was born June 25, 1911, in Portage, Utah, the son of Chester S. and Eva Hawkes Hall. He attended schools in Moreland, where he was active in athletics. He married Phyllis Valine Anderson in 1930, in Blackfoot. They were later divorced. He married Lula Ockerman in Longview, Wash. They were later divorced.

Mr. Hall served in the U.S. Army in World War II and spent most of his life as a carpenter. His hobbies were fishing and traveling.

Survivors include two sons: Berlin C. Hall of Placentia, Calif., Delwin L. Hall of Logan, Utah, three daughters: Mrs. Rolla (Renae) Windley of Blackfoot, Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Burke of Moreland and Susan H. Knopp of Las Vegas, Nevada, three brothers: Gail Hall, Roy Hall and Zane Hall all of Idaho Falls and a sister, Mrs. Melvin (DeLile) Bowman of Riverside and 18 grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Saturday (June 21, 1975) at 11 a.m. at Wood Chapel of the Pines. The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to time of services. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
