Aged Woman Dies At Barney Home
Last Thurday morning Mrs. J.H. Alderman passed away at her home near Barney, following a stroke of paralysis about five weeks ago. Mrs. Alderman was seventy-five years old and was a woman of fine traits, a consistent member of the Methodist church and she leaves a host of her friends who recall her kindness and good deeds. She is survived by her husband and eleven children, six sons, Gordon and D. Alderman, of Adel; G.W. Alderman, of Berlin; F.A. Alderman, of Ponce de Leon, Florida; F.W. Alderman, of Jacksonville, Florida, and seven daughters, Mrs. Lucy Joyce, and Mrs. J.H. Ryall, of Barney; Mrs. M.L. Rogers, of Greggs; Mrs. J.A. Baker, of Moultrie; Mrs. Eunice Godwin, of Berlin; Mrs. T.H. Norman, of Lake Wales, Florida; Mrs. Minnie Turner, of Wauchula, Florida. Also two sisters, Mrs. B.C. Hutchinson, of Tifton, and Mrs. M.M. Hires, of Berlin, survive her. The funeral services were conducted Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Antioch church, Rev. John Patterson, officiating.
