DUXBURY Joseph L. "Tony" Hannan died on May 3,2009 at his home in Duxbury at the age of 81. He was the husband of Theresa C. Hannan of Duxbury. Father of John Lennox Hannan II of NY and Laurence Dodge Hannan and his wife Sherry Franklin Hannan of OR . Grandfather of Fiona Hannan. Uncle of Robin Johnson of NY, he is also survived by many cousins. Tony was a Jazz Drummer playing with Bobby Hackett, Craig Ball, George Poor, Gid Loring and many others. Tony was a graduate of the Governor Dummer Academy HS in 1945, BS from Columbia University in music. He also attended Harvard and Juilliard School of Music. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2009 from 4-7pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (RT106) Kingston. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 9a.m. followed by a mass at Holy Family Church in Duxbury at 10am.
