OBITUARY OF EARL FAHRNEY
Earl H. Fahrney, son of Ezra and Elizabeth Fahrney, was born near Deep River, Iowa, Dec. 27, 1889 and passed away at his home in Ottumwa May 16, 1946 at the age of 56 years.
In 1910 he was united in marriage to Elsie Ferneau, who passed away in the year 1928. In 1934 he was united in marriage to Marguerite Mace of Ottumwa where they since have made their home.
He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife and daughter Rozelle, now Mrs. Ivyl Spear of Cedar Rapids beside three stepchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Bess Armstrong of Deep River, Mrs. Bernice Strasser of Thornburg, Mrs. Mae Inman of What Cheer, Will Fahrney of Deep River, Cloyd Fahrney of Newton, Ed Fahrney of Albany, Ore., Clint Fahrney of Pasadena, Cali. Also one half brother Dote Fahrney of Deep River and two half sisters Mrs. Eva Myerly of Mankato, Kan. and Mrs. Ada Icenbice of Klamath Falls, Ore. Also a host of other relatives and friends.
Earl Fahrney was a member of the Church of Christ of Deep River.
He has been a sufferer from arthritis for a good many years but has borne his affliction with great endurance.
Short funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Chapel at Ottumwa, Saturday, May 18 at 10;30 amd at tje Deep River Christian Church at 1;30 by Rev. E. Illum assisted by Rev. Goughnour.
Interment was in Golden Rod Cemetery, Deep River.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Vaughn Icenbice and Geo. Webber.
Pallbearers were C.F. Garrett, Otto Bissett, Chas. Cain, Carl Gabriel, Glen Myerly, Walt Hart.
