She is the daughter of Ludwig Brand, born in Walkgraweiler, Baiern, Germany and Elisabetha Marhoffer. Her siblings are: Jean, Henrich, Dorothea, Philippina, and Marie Elizabeth. Elisabeth is the wife of Simon Sindlinger Sr. They married on June 19, 1848 in Tuscarawas, Ohio. They had three children from this marriage: Mary Elizabeth, John, and Michael Sindlinger. They lived in Tuscaraws, Ohio until the mid 1870's. Then they moved to Wabash, Indiana with their daughter Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sindlinger Goehler. Her husband died in 1879. She died at the age of 76 yrs. old.
