R. Walter Coakley, former resident of Comstock, Nebraska died Sept. 22, 1964 at his home in Grand Island.
Mr. Coakley was born Nov. 27, 1885 in the North Star community west of Fullerton, a son of John and Lucy Roberts Coakley.
He homesteaded north of Ord, and moved to Arcadia in 1907. Most of his life he farmed in the Comstock and Arcadia communities. He married Beulah Luedkte and they made their home in Comstock until 1957, when they moved to Grand Island.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, four daughters, and four brothers.
Graveside services were held Sept. 25, 1964 at Douglas Grove cemetery.
