Mrs. Wirt Crislip, 62, of R. R. No. 2, Jefferson Township, was fatally burned yesterday afternoon when her dress caught fire at a sugar camp where she and her husband were boiling down maple syrup.

Mrs. Crislip was attending the boiling pot of syrup when a light breeze blew the hem of her skirt into the blaze. The flames spread over her entire body before she and her husband could tear the blazing material from her body. Dr. M. D. Scholl was called and rendered first aid, but the woman died at 11 p.m. last night. The tragedy happened at 3 p.m.

Mrs. Crislip is the mother of Mrs. Clifford Hart, 372 Hirn Street.
