Norfork - A graveside service for 78 year-old Hazel Mae Payne of Norfork will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Galatia Cemetery. Mrs Payne died Wednesday (Aug 30, 2000) at her residence. She was born Feb 1, 1922 at Shipps Ferry to John and Betty Barton Tilley. She was a lifetime resident of Norfork. She married Austin Payne in June 1966 in Yellville and was a homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs Payne is survived by her husband, Austin Payne of Norfork; a daughter, Shirley Adams and husband, Gary of St. Joe; two brothers, Frank Tilley of Gassville and Jim Tilley of Charlotte, N.C.; a grandson, Michael Kendrick of Pleasanton, Kansas; a granddaughter, Sandi Kendrick of St. Joe; a great-grandson, Will Basore of St. Joe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Kirby-Boaz Funeral Directors.
