Raymond L. Leary, 82, Columbus

Raymond L. Leary, 82, of Columbus died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.

An inurnment service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Indiana, with the Rev. Matt Wickham officiating.

Memorials may be made to Just Friends Adult Day Services, 3600 25th Street, Columbus, IN 47203

Arrangements were made by Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street in Columbus.

Mr. Leary was born November 23, 1926, in Mohawk, Indiana, to Lee and Percie Wallace Leary.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the VFW and enjoyed golf. He worked in management at Allright Parking in Kansas City, Missouri, for several years.

Mr. Leary is survived by daughters, Denise (Mike) Elder of Indianapolis and Dara (Greg) DeLong of Nashville, IN; sons, Mark Leary of Indianapolis and Greg (Angie) Leary of Zionsville; sister, Nonie (Bill) Cecil of Greenfield, IN; brother, Dean Leary of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren, Susan Leary and Brett (Kelly) Elder of Indianapolis, Matt Elder of Greenwood, Thad (Karen) Elder of Beech Grove, Joel (Lisa) Lewis of Columbus, Kristie (Brendon) Vellagas of Mooresville, IN, Keenan and Quinn Leary of Zionsville; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorcas Leary.
