He was employed in the utility business from 1937 to 1954, and for the last 10 years was the plant supervisor for Arizona Public Service. His retirement in 1954 brought to a close a career in operation and maintenance of generating plants in the Globe-Miami area from 1906-1954. He was originally the operating and maintenance engineer for the Old Dominion Copper Mining and Smelting Company in Globe.
