William was the son of Hardy Allen (1801-1896) and Nancy Young (1802-1877). Hardy Allen was the son of Nathan Nelson Graves Allen (1775-1859) and Celia Bloodworth. Nathan N.G. Allen was the son of John Rhodam "Rhody" Allen (1742-1820) and Mary Emily Ransome (1740-1807).--48659948
