Julia was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Wise) Hamilton. She married George Wise 27 Jan 1842 in Belmont Co., OH. They moved to Clay Twp., Gallia Co., OH that same year where they raised a family that included five children. In 1882 they moved with three remaining children and their families to Colony, Anderson Co., KS where they homesteaded and lived out the remainder of their lives.
