She was the daughter of Joseph and Anne Sims. She married Benjamin Wynkoop on May 18, 1767. A book on the Wynkoop family implies that Sarah was not the mother of the last three of Benjamin's children based on the notion he married a sister of her's is completely false, as the will of Sarah's uncle names all their children as being those of Benjamin and Sarah.
