81, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, died Saturday. Graveside service noon Thursday, Calvary Cemetery. Fitzgerald Ivy.

TAUBMAN - Dr. Arthur I., DDS, MSD, laid aside his earthly residence, ascending to a higher plane on May 2, 2009. Born in New York, NY, he was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.

Arthur lived with honor and dignity, serving in the First Marine Division in Korea from 1951-1953, retiring as a Commander from the U.S. Naval Reserves with more than 40 years of service between active duty and reserves. An accomplished professional, Dr. Taubman was an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for more than 40 years with numerous local and national awards and recognitions during his career. He loved music, played trombone, but flying was his passion. Most importantly, he was a loving father and grandfather, and an affectionate and tender husband, who put his family first above all else.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Edith; and brother, Milton.

Survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; children, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made in his name to a charity of their choice. Graveside Service, 12 p.m., Thursday, May 7, Calvary Cemetery. The Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel.
