CHARLES EDWARD MITCHELL, 70, of 145 Arthur Avenue, Sykesville, died at his home yesterday at 7 a.m. He formerly resided on Church Road, Randallstown. A son of the late William E. and Sarah C. Cole Mitchell, he was self-employed as a cement finisher. He was a member of St. Perrrin Presbyterian Church, Randallstown. Surviving are his widow, Lillian B. Kleinan Mitchell; 14 children, Mrs. Glenn D. Card, Grand Blanc, Mich; Mrs. David K. Hall, Ms. William Gray and Stephen L. and Robert S. Mitchell, all of Essex; Mrs. Thomas A. Russell, Pikesville, Mrs. Robert Wagner, Westminster; Mrs. Francis Cardwell, Reisterstown; Mrs. Edwin L. Poole, Woodlawn; Mrs. Arthur Allaways, Baltimore; Mrs. James Gemmel, Stewartstown, Pa. and Mrs. George Blueford, Randallstown; 100 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. John Morganwick [sic], Miss Eva O. Mitchell, and George D. Mitchell, Baltimore.
Funeral services at the Mitchell home, Sykesville. Burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Randallstown.
