She was born November 15, 1912, in Grand Saline to the late Dr George Rogers and Mattie Tina Cox Elliott. She lived in Odessa from 1978-1992, but the remainder of her life was spent in Grand Saline. She taught public school music, was a housewife, a member of First United Methodist Church and past member of Grand Saline Study Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Ray Hodges in 1995, and brother, Hans Elliott.
Survivors include daughter, Pat Hodges, Odessa; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
