Hilda Virginia Hackle, 70, passed away April 28 at her residence. The Tattnall County native lived most of her life in Evans County. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Jan Hackle of Cobbtown; one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Connie Hackle of Cobbtown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janilda and Kevin Faircloth of Collins, and Lisa and Mike DeLoach of Collins; one brother, Bobby Sapp of Collins; three sisters, Ruth Waters of Bellville, Jean Thompson of Manassas, and Margie Blocker of Claxton; 10 grandchildren, Alex and Callie Graham, Rachel and Adam Cowart, Clayton Hackle, Melissa Bradley, Jake DeLoach, Chanci DeLoach, Kyle Hackle, Kristopher Faircloth, Virginia Bradley, Annsley DeLoach; two great grandchildren, Molly and Morgan Cowart; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 6 p.m. - until at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, 11 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Gatus Cheatham, and the Rev. Mike Gay officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Collins, Avery Sapp, Allen Hackle, Jerome Provence, Kerry Kicklighter,and Dennis Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Senior Adult Sunday School Class at Eastside Baptist Church.
Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
