Hazel Mae (Mellen) Satterstrom was born in 1908. Her early years were spent in Ryegate, MT. She attended Montana State University in Bozeman, graduating in 1930 with a degree in home economics. While attending college she was a member of Morter Board and Phi Epsilon Omegron.
She married Hardy Satterstrom in 1939. Her teaching career began in Cascade, MT, and continued in North Branch and Lindstrom until her retirement in 1968.
She died Dec. 18, 1992, in Scottsdale, AZ, at age 84.
She is survived by her husband Hardy of North Branch; son Steve of Vail, C0; two grandchildren, Nils and Katie, also of Vail.
Funeral services were Dec. 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom. Interment was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch.
Arrangements were by Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom.
