George W. Sonnon, 71, of 915 Miller St., Lebanon, died of natural causes Friday at Harrisburg Hospital. The former superintendent of the Rohrers Quarry in Lititz, he continued to work there part time until his death. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Friendship Fire Company in Lebanon, the Keystone Rod and Gun Club in Lebanon and the Williams Grove Old Timers Association. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Levi and Marion Allwein Sonnon. He was married to Betty J. Kreider Sonnon for 50 years on Feb. 1. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Bates and Shirley, wife of Thomas Myers, both of Lebanon; a son, Jeffrey D. of Lebanon; a grandson; two brothers, Lloyd and Dennis, both of Lebanon; and three sisters, Kathryn, wife of Allen Wolfe, Arnetta, wife of William Bechtel, and Helen, wife of Earl Walker, all of Lebanon.
