Andrew Fisher Of Buda Is 93 Years Old
Andrew Jackson Fisher,a resident of Buda vicinity since he was two years old, observed his 93rd birthday Monday.
Mr Fisher was born in Pennsylvania and came to Illinois in 1857. He engaged in farming and later established a factory in the building now occupied by the Van Parker Corporation. Until a few years ago he maintained a repair shop there, never missing a working day.
Mr. Fisher continues active and takes a keen interest in current topics.
Mrs. Fisher died several years ago. There are two daughters, Mrs. Edith Schmidt,Manlius, and Mrs. Ethel Carper , who lives in the west. There are two grandchildren.

Aged Resident Of Buda Called
Andrew Jackson Fisher,93, prominent resident of Buda, died at a Moline hospital Wednesday. He had been ill some time and had been hospitalized several months.
Son of David and Catherine Fisher, he was born at Broad Top City,Pennsylvania, February 9,1855. At age of rwo he came with his family to Buda, settling on a farm south of town. In 1887 he moved to Buda and entered hardware business. He later bought the remaining buildings of the Buda Foundry which he owned until recently when he sold them to a Chicago company.
Mr. Fisher married Clara bBurbank who died a number of years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edith Schmidt,Manlius; Mrs. Ethel Carper,Harvard,Nebraska; two grandsons,two great grandchildren and nieces.
Mr. Fisher was a prominent member of the First Congregational Church and had served on the town council.
