Albert Leonard Hupp was born January 15, 1892 in Wirt County, WV to parents Hiram and Mary Elizabeth (Hall) Hupp. He met and fell in love with Velma Lelon Collins and they married Nov. 17, 1915. They had eight children, Ralph Rodney Hupp, 1916-1984, Geraldine Lucille (Hupp) Doebler, 1917-2002, Robert E Hupp, 1919-1989, Doral Arnold Hupp, 1920-2007, Ella Geneal (Hupp) Horton-Dunkin, 1921-2002, Evelyn May (Hupp) Lieurance, 1923-2000, Maurice Edwin Hupp, 1925-2006, and Frances Jean (Hupp) Lewis, 1927, 1996. Albert was devoted to his wife and children. Albert was a logger, farmer, and worked for Dayton Rubber and Firestone. He was also an avid gardner.
